KLO Flagship Gas Station Facade
Going straight to the centre of Kyiv from the Boryspil international airport along Bazhan Avenue you will unmistakably hit the flagship gas station KLO, where Dmytro Aranchii Architects designed the shell of the main facade and interior design.
(more…)BLACK COEXISTENCE
Black Coexistence is the second project of the main hall inĀ Europassage Business Park designed by Dmytro Aranchii Architects. In contrast to the Tween Coexistence project, the second reception hall is designed in black, with coloured sofas and constructions in turquoise colour. The hall combines the functions of a waiting area, a reception, a cafe, a communication area, and a bathroom.
(more…)M17 Contemporary Art Center Rethinking
The redesign of the M17 CAC consisted first of all in changing the envelope, the skin of the building, and giving a new visual representation to the already recognizable brand that would link it to the tradition of the Ukrainian avant-garde.
(more…)Tween Coexistence
Tween Coexistence is a project of business park hall, absolutely white, that incorporates accurately defined functioning fluidity and provides form curvature expression by shadow transitions. The purpose of reception desk transforms into waiting zone, which, in turn, transmutes into the elevator hall.
Dnipro Cliffs
Dnipro Cliffs is a project of eco village on the right bank of Dnipro river at Shevchenko places with stunning panoramas of 10km water surface. 5 houses architecture evolves according to landscape features. Dwelling integrates into the topography and designed based on sustainability, energy efficiency and cradle-to-cradle concepts.
Sustainable Continuity
Sales office of Poetica residential block. The building demonstrates sustainable design approaches using cradle-to-cradle concept’s materials lifecycle and providing modularity and mobile parameters due to geo-pile basements and reassemble transportable frame, green roof, that protects from overheating in summer, decreases CO2 level and city canalization load and makes natural surroundings for visitors and pedestrians. Thus, project brings real values that matter to developer as well.
Ubiquitous Interactive Installation
ubIQuitos is a concept kinematic interactive installation. It is a 3d mirror for pedestrians and cars using kinematic and color changes to reflect local activities.
cardioTower. old factory pipe rethinking for unit city
cardioTower aims to provide healthy environment for the unit city. Its main idea is based on the mykola amosov heart training method, which starts from small loads and anticipates enhanced blood transportation.
Signature Garden Kyiv
Signature Garden on Mechnykova street is a space on the roof of shopping mall between towers of Signature residential complex. A yard of 6000 sq m is simultaneously a green roof and provides various functions for residents as summer pond; intellectual fountain zone with “God mode”(in which water smoothly gives way to man); pavilion that faces Parus business center, zone with projections that interact with people; kids playground; mobile benches and trees in tubs for personal shadow creation; a cave, in which performances will take place, and will be also seen from restaurant; three viewing platforms; space for art with permanent and temporary exhibitions. Extensive landscaping is an important stroke in Signature garden.
Object. Information Space
The article in Object magazine (february-march 2015) is dedicated to computational architecture (parametric design). Architectural studio Dmytro Aranchii Architects is mentioned as pioneers of algorithmic architecture in Ukraine. It is demonstrated in the article by the project of Ukraine EXPO 2015 Pavilion
Animation Office interior near Maidan in Kyiv
Animation of computational design of office Deeping into Work near Maidan in Kyiv. Video explains the methodology of ceiling’s structure form finding in the interior. Computational architecture is context-sensitive in the project, while people represent the context.
Dipping into Work. Office parametric design, Kyiv, Ukraine
Office interior design in Kyiv using the methods of algorithmic morphogenesis was developed on the base of context-sensitive or adaptive systems. Office interior located in semi-basement part may be recognized by a winter garden, while ceiling architectural idea becomes uniting having level decreased and suspension lamps in places, where employees are concentrated.
AADRL Cellular Automata video
Computational architecture within a field of cellular automata, AADRL
The project Cellular Automata itself.
AA DRL Cellular Automata Workshop. Computational Architecture
Computational / parametric architecture stays very close to contemporary theory of algorithms. We have already implemented cellular automata and particularly game of life in architectural project Fashion Design Museum in Kyiv, 2009. Current project designed within the Architectural Association (AADRL) was aimed to go deeply into cellular automata theory and practice and to define the strategies of control the self-organizing system and to find the directions of usage in architectural design. Implementation of the algorithm for space tessellated into truncated octahedrons instead of usual cubic voxels also became a contribution into cellular automata research.
AADRL Material Workshop. Volume. Computing Without Computers
AADRL material workshop [part of 2013-15 MArch course] was related to material tension/compression experimentations with lycra as an envelope and plaster as a filing substance resulting in natural minimal surfaces and volumes respectively. Specific agenda was directed towards volumetric modular structure creation, which hence had to be cast in one turn as a solid assembly.
