Studio-apartments Black Octopus – a project that could only be realized with the help of the latest technologies. The precision of the design of the complex elements of the tentacle of the ceiling, and the monolithic kitchen island is performed seamlessly, bypassing the stage of the drawings, directly from the 3D model.

The modern interior has a number of innovations through the use of computational/parametric architecture techniques, in particular, the 5-axis CNC milling machine was used for the manufacture of the kitchen island. Parametric model of the kitchen island has undergone many alterations and modifications, which were fast and easy due to parametrized geometry. The method also made possible to implement the table without any drawings and automate the manufacture of an artificial stone product directly from the three-dimensional model on a five-axis CNC machine. The kitchen island is equipped with all necessary sockets and cooking hob. All lighting is implemented in multi-level tentacles-craters. The location of lamps (crater centres) is dedicated by the functional needs. All cabinets are merged with the walls so that nothing could distract from the perception of main design accents.
